ok - difference wheels make
« on: June 20, 2007, 09:44:58 PM »
ok - tonight i road the same 26 mile route that i road a week ago

same rest, same time of day everything equal except new wheels.

bike weight went from 20.2 pounds to 18.8 pounds from a change in wheels

so i had the same ave heart rate for the 26 miles but had an increase in ave speed of 1.5 mph

so better equipment can make a difference in performance - that is a substantial increase if you think about how much difference 1.5 mph would make over 100 miles

If I said it once , I said it a couple of times. The experienced riders make it look easy because for them, it is easier with the better equipment. Can't tell you for how many years I suffered behind better riders until I stepped up and bought some good equipment. Now I have  good equipment and old warrior muscle to make it easy for me.  ;D

Man Jonathan!  Gregg and I are gonna be choking on your dust on Sunday!  Just allow us a little time to catch up.
It's not just fun, it's an addiction!
