Ocala on the 4th
« on: July 01, 2007, 10:27:58 PM »
I'm planning on heading up to Croom on the fourth for the picnic and then heading over to Ocala to ride. I've never been to either place, but I can ride all day whatever the weather. If anyone would like to join me that would be great, if not, some suggestions would be appreciated as to where to ride in Ocala. The hillier and more technical the better. Thanks.

In Ocala there is either Santos or Redd**k.  Santos has either really easy stuff or pretty difficult technical stuff.  Haven't been to Redd**k yet but I hear that it is really on the technical side.  I'll be at Santos on the 4th in the morning with my in-laws who are just getting into riding.  Gonna take them on the easy stuff so they get their first taste of XC trails.

Are there any MTB trails just out in the ONF? I've been wondering if anyone pieced together a 50 or 100 mile loop out there. There's more than enough room for it.

There's Alexander Springs.  It's in the ONF.  Never been there so I'm not sure how the trails are.
