Registration for this year's Alafia FTF (Nov 9 - 11) is available online at Active.com. This year's event will feature new trails, new music, new mtb movies, same great food from Chef Marc Alton and the Second Annual Crazy Crit. Anyways, are we obliged to join the group ride or pretty much you can ride whenever/wherever (within the designated area to ride, duh)? I joined the FTF as an excuse to spend more time riding and meeting my "goals" (i.e. completing gatorback, etc.).

You asked.

You are not obligated to ride in a group. The groups get pretty big, and they will all do the "epic ride", but last year I broke off in the afternoon and just rode with a couple of people.

There is a long standing saying within SWAMP... what happens at the FTF, stays at the FTF!!! So no worries... I wont go interrup your party and my lips are sealed...

Besides, none of you could do a better job then how the wifey does it.. That Nair cream works good!

Who is setting those up? Usually AJ's has a pretty big llong line of bikes. We also see Mike Catacay there every year. He is from Allijay but bring his whole shop with tons of demo bikes over.

Get out your cool weather camping gear and arm warmers. This weekend is supposed to be beautiful!! Mid 70s on Saturday and Sunday under perfectly clear skies. Upper 40s both nights. It's gonna feel good!!!

Trek and Gary Fisher......................are setting it up. It was probably coordinated with Oliver's and Carrollwood Bicycle Emporium.

The "switchblade" bike looks awesome. I'd love to see a single-sided rear swingarm on something like the Rush...

Sorry, but if you have not paid to be in the FTF you can not get one of the demo bikes. They will be in the campground area. We will have people at both of the entrances to the campground and if you don't have a wrist band you can not get in. Sorry but the demo bikes, food, videos (new world disorder 8 not yet released), music, fun,more music,more food and fun are only for the people who have paid for it.

No worries North, one came down sick, one had a drunken birthday party, and the other went and crashed at Carter Rd.

Lucky me, really, I was getting pretty sick. Came home Sunday with a 101.6 fever

Apparently I had the flu, but it mostly went away while I was riding
