I have these coming by FedEx today.. I'll fill you in once I have them on..I like the ability to grab on the the sides and change up my grip to help with pins and needles..

If that does not work for you try cork tape that is used on road bikes my hands sweat and my gloves do not do squat, so I went to handlebar tape and it seems to be working fine.  You have to wrap it more than once so you actually have some padding and something to hold on to.
Gears??? We don't need no STINKING GEARS!!!
