Ahh but seriously.  What are some of the better brands of bibs?  Where are the good deals?

Will you be shaving too?

Seriously, I have a pair of Pearl Izumis. They are very comfortable. The pad is one that is contoured to actually fit your body. I bought them at my LBS, they were a pretty good deal. around 70 bucks I think, but they have the shops name on them.

I look like an idiot in them, but whatever.

Once you go bibs...you'll never go back. ;D  I love my Castelli's and I do have a pair of Pearl's, which are nice too...I think their camois(sp?) is a little better too.  Usually, about this time of year I watch Colorado Cyclist, because they start discounting those Castelli bibs.

castelli's for sure

Looks like their largest size is still to small for me.  Man, why is cycling clothing made for emaciated people?

Bibs are like any other piece of clothing.  The more you spend, generally, the better the quality, fit, and longevity.  It really comes down to personal preference since some brands are longer in the legs, have more padding, etc.  I have Pearls, Giordana, Castelli, and even an Assos (way too expensive, but sooo nice) and each one fits a little different.  You really need to try and see.

I think I'm going to try some shorts (spandex). The bibs are Ok but I can't imagine why shorts wouldn't be as good if not better. Dumping out with the bibs is an event!!!  ;D
