Thanks! It was tough - really tough - and really fun. Eddie and Namrita put on a great race and festival.

I'll have a blog write-up soon, but it's back to the couch for now.

Congrats Harvey!!  Look forward to reading the blog. Great reading material!!!  All  things considered, are you happy with your results for the year? Have they been enough for you to move up or are you going to qualify for moving up through the FSC season results?

Harvey,
I enjoyed reading your blog entry on this.  I now have to try that "Rapid Recovery" drink...  :)  Sorry about those 4 minutes to 1st but that still a very strong showing.  Congratulations!   Specially after your wipe out and the "lube your chain as you ride" attempt.... I may need to practice that trick...  Seems like I learn something every time I read your entries... thanks.

Oh yeah, I'm really happy with how the year has gone. I had a horrible race at the Wilderness 101, 2 weeks before the Fool's Gold, but I rebounded nicely. This race sequence (ORAMM, W101, FG, SM100 each 2 weeks apart) is kind of an experiment to see if my body can handle all that racing in such a short period.

As far as XC goes, I upgraded to semipro in April. I was visiting the podium regularly in expert so it was time to make the jump. I've only done 1 XC race since then (Ellijay GSC) and I would've placed 2nd had I not flatted with a mile to the finish. I'm really looking forward to getting my arse handed to me in the FSC.

I now have to try that "Rapid Recovery" drink
I'm looking at the water bottle it came in now. It's called "Rapidade" and won't be available until 2008. Here's a web site: www.rapidade.com. I'll be checking it out. I don't think it's very heavy on calories, but it has tons of electrolytes, which is perfect in really hot weather.
