Chain changing interval

I've got almost 800 miles on my original chain.  When would you guys recommend replacement?  I keep it clean and lube it regularly (the chain).  Thanks in advance.

I don't go by miles.  I check "chain stretch" length with my checker tool I bought from nashbar.  Very similar to this one:
