Tally -hass- ee FSC #1

FactorE, I'm liking what you are doing. Laying down the excuses, building a base for the excuses in case you don't do well at the race.  ;D  Major respect!!!
What do you think about shaving a couple of pounds of rotational weight off those motorcycle tires you have on your bike?  If you do, it will knock at least 1 minute off your time. Bring your lightest tires with you. We will definitely talk you into riding them. It's time to let it rip. All the riding you have been doing is for this moment. 10-12 miles of easy XC trails. A couple of climbs, no problem. Just think about all the long road rides you have done. This is going to be a slamfest for you. Start drinking extra water starting ..........now!!! If you have any vitamins and minerals, load up. If those cramps continue, buy a 10 pound bag of Epsom salt and put about 3 pounds in a warm bath and soak for 30 minutes. Be careful getting out, you will likely be light-headed.  Now remember, all you have to do is follow the course and ride really, really fast!!!!!  Oh yeah, smile for the camera. If you happen to see the camera man picture taker, cross one up  aout 3 feet in the air, sport a big smile and give him a thumbs up while in the air. If you can pull this off, I will buy  you the beers all season.  ;D   8)

i rode 24 miles after work and the cramps were gone - it was more of some weird twitching - i am ok and ready though.  are you saying they make skinnier tires than 2.3s?  haha

i have some skinny maxxis igniters but they are not UST.  i have not tried my stans strips with my new 819 rims - i would have to use stans kit to make that work.

819's are UST right?  No stan's strips needed.  Just some goop.

right.  On a UST rim with a non UST tire all you need is sealant, not that heavy rubber strip.  At least thats the way I run mine.

I've heard that sometimes you need a rim strip on a UST rim to get the bead to seal and prevent burping. Depends on the tire.

Bring it with you. We are bringing an air compressor in case we have to switch tires because of rain, so we could install the Stans kit if you want to. Chiselchest is becoming quite proficient at it. ;D
