Two trail workdays this weekend
« on: September 19, 2007, 07:15:43 PM »
Hey folks,
This Saturday is the Croom scheduled workday, so help Bob Wilcox out if you can.

If Croom isn't in your plans and you would like to help out with the Sidewinder trail at Boyette then we could use some help for an unscheduled workday at Boyette as well.

We need to get a bit closer to finishing this trail for the Fat Tire Fest. So, some folks willing to sling a pick mattocks and shovel to bench cut this trail would be greatly appreciated.

We'll meet at 8:45 Saturday morning at parking and roll at 9:00 a.m..

RSVP so I know that you are coming and I can have tools and lunch ready for you.

Thanks,
Garry

Thanks Kenny!  Hopefully we can get a good sized group together and make some more progress on finishing this trail.  It seems a bit cooler out too, so that is a plus!!

Still working on getting the tools and should have a few.  If you bring a shovel, mattocks and chain saw - there are a few trees down (SST, SW, and SE). If we get to them cool, but if not Sean and I can get the trees Monday.

Hi everyone, I just joined the SWAMP club a couple days ago and am thinking of joining you guys at Boyette.

9am - 12am.......how do you get back to the far off trails? walk?

Should I bring my own shovel? trimmers? (manual style)

Do people ride afterwards or is everyone usually beat?

Thanks.

Garry, Count me in for Boyette also. Some old fashioned John Henry work is good for the core!

We caravan in a couple of trucks back to the trails.  I'll have tools, but if you have a favorite or can bring an extra it might not hurt.  Some folks do ride afterwards, so if you wish you can bring your bike.
