What's up with ROLLERCOASTER?
« on: October 12, 2007, 09:48:52 AM »
In all fairness, the work that's been completed on this trail is fantastic, but am I the only one who feels that this trail is being made easier? No more cable climb over the roots, then riding yesterday I noticed something. In the last third of the trail, there's a slight 10"-12" flat drop off a root, the you have to duck a lil', center your pedals up an sneak through between that tree on your right and the big white rock to your left. Well, big white rock is no longer there. I don't know if this was authorized trail work or not, but it just seems to me that this trail's getting easier and easier.

To those of you that make these "Unauthorized" trail modifications, please don't take it upon yourself to make changes. It's been said plenty of times, the trails are SUPPOSED to be challenging. if you can't ride over or around it, don't just remove it! Go ride sanpine or riverloop, or pavement if you can't handle some technical challenge.

Old man Art carried that boulder by himself and put it back in place.   :o Wasn't happy about it. Out doing a ride and instead he's lugging 100 pound rocks around.

Good job then Art, RollerCoaster doesn't need to be made any easier.

Did someone move it without permission?  If so we really need to find a way to catch these people.

Was roller coaster ever hard? ;D   Seriously though, people need to stop doing trail mods without consent!  I thought Art was going to have a heart attack when he saw that the rock was gone! He was scurying through the woods to find it like he was looking for his precious!  My Precious! :o ;D  Luckily he found it!
