Anybody interested on the 5K or 15K Trout Creek Trail Runs which is the next day after the 6 hours mtb race? Has anybody done this before? 6 hours mtb solo and 15K trail run?
Sounds painful but fun.
So anybody wants to do the runs the nextday?

I'm interested in doing the race, but not solo.  So, basically, I'm a free agent.  Can we sign up first then join a team later?  Or must we register with the team already organized?

After that last post I went to register and got the answer to your question Mike. They ask if you are registering as an individual or team (max of 3).

I'm thinking of doing solo beginners.  This would be my first event to see if I really want to get into the competitive side of biking.  Any training tips for the few months until the event?

Get lots of saddle time.  The biggest thing that you will need is time in the saddle.  Actually, you will want to spend a lot of time in the saddle.  Some "Booty Butter" helps too.  Asmaster, Chamois Cream, or Bag Balm all work good.  Make sure that you have time in the saddle too.  Other than that, put in some long rides.  They don't necessarily have to be hard rides, but the longer that you can make them, the better.
