Does anyone know the trails used in the past?  I've never ridden there but I keep hear that trails are a bit more technical then what we have.  I could use a detail description of the trails used to see how technical they are as compare to trails in Alafia or other parks SWAMP mantains.  Thanks.

It took some restraint not to answer Jim.

I have heard that there are lots of trails on ridges.

Nice!  LOL!

There are a lot of trials on narrow ridges.  Funny thing is, that is where I first started riding.  It's a fun place to ride.  It can get even more technical than Alafia in spots.  It's kind of one big 8-9 mile loop.

It's just south of Lakeland in Mulberry.  State Road 37 south out of Lakeland to Carter Rd.  It's actually not that far from Alafia.

They always run a "red" course and a "corporate" course for those that are skeered of the red trails. Wink

The start/finish is down the dirt road that's to the right when you're entering the park (past the dog park).

The red course is everything. The corporate course is the east side of LHP (no fingers, Rollercoaster, Beast, MOE, etc.) and is all intermediate trails.

It's a great race. You should check it out.

Harvey, do you know the link to the info for the race? I still can't get used to calling it Loyce Harpe not Carter Rd.

They don't have anything up on the site yet, but it will be here when they do. Ray just posted up the date on other forums and I know about the format from previous years.
