Anyone interested in going tomorrow morning?  I suddenly realized I'm able to go...but my vehicle is in the shop, so I'd need a ride from S. Valrico to wherever.  I know it's short notice...so sue me, I wanna ride my new bike!

I have a big meeting this Saturday - I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to spare much time this week. I'll definitely keep an eye on this thread and let you know about Thursday - congrats on the new wheels!!!

No, I live in Valrico, but I bought the vehicle over there.

We were considering moving to that area when we moved here from N.C.  Now, we kind of wish we had moved over that way, closer to the beaches.  We were 5 miles from the beach in N.C.  Now, it's an hour drive.  However, now I'm so close to Alafia and Boyette, I'm fine with that...

Hah!  I do have a tendency to find one speed and stick with it.  Well, drop down, spin a little, crank it back up.  I don't get the Pinellas Trail rides like I used to with the job, but some mornings I do get my 1 hour and 20 burn.

The trail has been my main course lately. Having a hard time finding the time to get over to the other side. After I get the kids off to school I can usually take 3-4 hours and get in 35-50 miles. My average has been coming up lately. Actually hit an 21 avg testerday, which surprized me. I found myself doing the same thing Garry. I tend to hit the same cadence and MPH. Starting to carry it in higher gears now.

Doesn't matter too much to me.  It's supposed to be mostly sunny and get up to 80 degrees on Thursday.  So, I'd like to get started BY 9:00, if everyone can be there by 8:45.  That would be great.

Just found out my vehicle, which I was told would be done yesterday, MIGHT not even be done today.  I'm still making the ride one way or the other though!!!
Might take my wife to work and use hers.  SLIM chance I might need a ride though...

Cool, thanks.  I'll know about the car in less than an hour.  Then, I just have to talk to the wife and make sure she's ok w/ me taking her to work again.  That's how we had to do it today.

You guys who didn't show up missed a great ride yesterday.  It did start out very slowly, with a couple mechanical problems and such (I'll leave it at that  ).  But, once we got going, it was a good day.  We hit every trail except for Gator Pit and the southern quadrants.  And, we hit West Meadow, Sidewinder and South Abyss twice.  We didn't see the Horror Cat or anything else, but we heard a few things, one of which at the end on the way out, I swear sounded like it was following us to the left side of the access road.  The weather was perfect and the trails were near perfectly packed...maybe just a little dry and loose in a few spots, huh Scott?  Sidewinder is getting a little bit tougher due to the slow erosion causing it to be a lot of off-camber riding.  But, it's still fun, especially going east to west...

Can't wait to get back out there!
