Thanks to Scubastud
« on: January 11, 2008, 06:55:39 PM »
I wanted to thank Scubastud for buying my road bike from me. I hope he can put 1000's of miles on it and enjoy it. This will open up options for me for my next road  bike but I am already leaning towards a classic Italian style. The purist in me is telling me to go old school!   8)

hey Ells, we got an old Bianchi Eros lying around waiting to get painted if looking at something like that, probably mid 90s vintage.

If you can CWG, put  up a pic of the bike. Thanks. I'm negotiating a deal (trying to get a bargain  :o  :o)on some Dura Ace components right now, so I'm primarily interested in a steel frame of mid level to high level metal. A custom paint job though has me thinking that it would be interesting.  8)

If I wasn't married I would put my name on the list and  get one of those. A 5 year long wait to get one though.  Once you get it though, Do you ride it or put it on display?  I'm looking to get something beauiful like that but like always, mine is going to have to be on the cheap.

What's the reason for the long wait? Do they only produce so many a year or is demand that high. I've seen and heard of them, but very rarely.

Don't really know the reason for the wait. Looking at everything on the web page they mention there is currently a 5 year wait. The craftsmanship is worth looking at on the web page.

I've heard about the craftsmanship and quality, but knew very little about them in general.
