Rode the new section today. Still needs to be worked in but it was a good ride. Cleaned everything except that switchback out on the 'point'. That might take some head scratchin' for me to figure out but the trail  was real nice and looking forward to riding it every time out there. Those vultures are a trip!! It was almost like a scene from Jurassic Park with the tree tops moving so much from the vultures taking flight.

Talking about those vultures.........the SMELL on that loop is enough to cause a grown man to almost hurl. Ellsrider said it smelled like that during North Creeks original opening and they soon found other nesting areas........let's pray it happens again.

I'm telling you that smell was so bad I almost puked........

As for the trail.....still needing to get packed down......quite soft which is to be expected but looks to be a nice addition to the trail.

The switchback turn is certainly a challenge........especially considering I think it's home to a respectable sized gator......as I came around the corner, he lunged into the swamp.

Yeah, I think we should call that section North Reek.

Rode that new section yesterday. That will be one sweet section before too long! That turn around is pretty tough on a SS, but a few of my buddies that were on gearies got it pretty easy. Just needs some more riding in, yesterday after that rain will do it alot of good. Oh yeah, it didn't smell, and I only saw 1 or 2 vultures. There is a big, big tree down across it now, 2ft or so.

That tree is part of the trail. It will be made a little more ridable this week if I can get out there

It was really nice on Sunday, the rain washed all the puke and crap away.  I didn't see the big gator, but he splashed into the water as we rode up.  We stacked the front of that log with some dead wood, trying to make it a little easier for others to ride it and praying that no one decides the log needs to go.
