Lost shoes
« on: February 24, 2008, 02:46:57 PM »
Anybody see a pair of black Specialized shoes at the hole in the fence parking?  Trying to get changed and swap shoes in the truck as the rains were coming in yesterday I inadvertently left them behind.

No loss of dignity.  From what I'm told the crash was a 9.5.  ;D

Riding without crashing would be kinda boring really--I mean we wouldn't have near as many good stories to tell and bike shops would be short on business.

So do you part to support your local bike shop--crash often.

No occasional crash, you are not playing hard enough.

Jimbo talked me into trying something one more time, I taught him a lesson......He had to pick me up. I was too busy laughing.....I fell backwards down the tight uphill on Pandemonium at Boyette. I am told that was pretty cool too! I want to thank Garry for building in that soft landing...I also want to thank the people at Camel Bak for providing the "mule" with such cushioning properties.

Gregg, That's my line.

Garry, did you find your shoes buddy? I was at the Trout creek site that day.I've been lucky with finding shoes lately. I found Roberts Specialized shoes at Alafia, wish I could've found yours too. The name has been changed from Shoeless Rick to Shoeless Garry.

No, no such luck.  Had my brand new eggbeater cleats on them too.  Oh well, must be fitting someone else by now.

That stinks Garry! Whoever found them should have turned them into the rangers. Bad Karma for someone. :o Hopefully someone will turn them in.

Not sure if this would help, but I was helping another rider find his phone (fell out of his seat bag while riding). I was calling the phone and we were riding and listening for the ring. We found the phone at the Bulletin Board at the Gully / Sand pit area right off the one-way from Hole in the fence. Someone had seen the phone and put it on one of the wooden beams off the trail and under cover. I always thought that would be a good place to look if you ever lost something out there. I will probably be out today, and I'll check the bulletin board at the entrance area.
