Rode there yesterday with the guys. This is the only place in Fl that I 've been that I have to use the granny ring. I'm not talking one or two places, but almost the entire thing! Far and away the hardest , most technical climbs I've seen so far.

I've known Jimmy for a few years now, he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Yes, the trail is by invitation only, and we are still working on it to get all the trails restored. A few years back Hurricane Charley went directly over the place, so many trees were down it looked like kids decided to play pick-up-sticks. Right now there is about 5 miles or so of trail. Description is tough! Narrow bridges, even narrower ridges, a teeter-totter, a sliding bridge, steep drops and climbs, I'll just say it is not for the faint of heart. Back in the day the place humbled many a good rider.

Sounds great and like a place I'd like to ride! I'm too dumb to be faint of heart with in reason. I love ridges, teeter totters and etc.but whats a sliding bridge? Excuse my ignorance.

gnarly But my back is in no condition for the likes of this one...one wrong landing, and my biking days are over, so I'll have to vicariously live through you guys on this one.

The sliding bridge. You have to ride down a drop onto a bridge, but instead of going all the way across it stops with about a 3ft gap. So you have to have some good speed, get onto the bridge and hit both brakes hard to make it slide across the gap! When it hit the other side you let go of the brakes and roll off, if you pedal it shoots the bridge out from under you. Pretty cool, kinda intimidating at first. It usually makes for some spectacular endos!
