before you buy another long travel bike...test ride a FOES...that 6.5 inch travel heavy bike with the curnutt coil over had a better pedal platform than my blur LT and I made climbs with it I never could make on the Blur (magic mountain) it also felt like the bike was much lighter when going through the xc type stuff...it absolutely ate up anything downhill or log crossings etc....what size frame do you ride?  The shop here has demo bikes...I think you will like it.
