Is anyone doing "Chef Marc's", "Sharkeys on the Pier Road ride" in Venice on May 4th?
If you don't crash occassionaly, you're not riding hard enough!!

;D  Hey there are a TON of closet roadies in this club.  I am not the only one.  LOL

That ride sounded pretty good especially since it is supported/organized by a SWAMP member.  Always good to show support to someone who supports our club.  His food is out of this world too...  NEWayz.. No I am not going to this one.  I am going to the Tsali race on 5/17 and I need all the hill work I can get.  I am going to San Antonio/Dade City this coming Saturday (5/3) so no long roadie ride for me on 5/4.  I, along with about 4 other swamp closet roadies are doing a close to a metric century on the SanAnn hills.

If anyone is interested on this, let me know.

I guess I'm a closet roadie who has come out Marcel. I had planned on doing Sharkey's ride but thought it was on Sat. instead of Sat. Should have looked at the calander.
How many miles is a metric century?

Metric Century = 100 Kilometers.  Or 62.1 miles    When we do the San Ann ride, we do about 40-45.  I hope to do 20 more for the metric century.  Let me know if you want to join us this Saturday.  We ride out at 8am (Maybe a bit earlier if I get may way).  The group roadie ride up there is a bit mellow.. i think we average 18-20 but a ton of hills.  Ice Cream hill is about 9-10% grade but very short.
