race calender
« on: May 19, 2008, 02:09:49 PM »
there needs to be a master list calender for race events - that way we can see all the events that are coming up - You have to go jumping around to too many websites to plan out your race schedule.

So far I have compiled this:

Aug 3 - Trail 2 Trail
Aug 17or 24 - Trail 2 Trail
Aug 31 - 12 hours of Labor
Sept 13-14 - FSC #1
Sept 20 - 12 hours of Dauset
Sept 21 - Trail 2 Trail
Sept 27-28 - FSC #2
Oct 12  - FSC #3
Oct 26 - FSC #4
Nov 2 - FSC #5
Nov 16 - FSC #6
Nov 23 - Coconut Cup #1
Nov 30 - FSC #7
Dec 7 - Coconut Cup #2
Dec 14 - FSC #8

Yes there should be.  But is almost an impossible task to keep track of them all and make updates as needed with proper links to all.  Don't forget mtbr.com, http://ride424.com/, http://mtbflorida.net/, redtrail racing, granny gear, NUE, sweat mud & gears... the list goes on.

What I do is visit blogs of racers I have met or would like to do the type of racing they do.  Look up their race schedule and look up the links they have for races.  Harvey, Eddie, Nam, and many others.

Aug 31 - 12 hours of Labor

Is the San Felasco race 12 hours or 8 hours?  The Goneriding site says 12 hours but the flyer they have posted says 8 hours (10am-6pm).

I rode San Felasco twice this weekend.  The trails are excellent and I am very excited about this race.

Doh, I guess it's 12 hours now.  This is being discussed on the Tsali thread.

Any ideas where the FSC races are located?  I want to attend as many as possible but need to start planning a budget and whatnot for hotels, travel, etc.

Are you requried to hold a membership or license to participate in these FSC events?  Goneriding.com doesn't have any info on the first race in September...which is a bid odd considering it is just over two months away.
