carter road and a thank you to P Chisel
« on: May 25, 2008, 08:06:55 AM »
I road Carter road for the first time yesterday.  It was a great trail system.  I didn't do sneaky snake and big mommas house or the third finger....alll the other stuff was enough for me.

a HUGE thank you to chiselchest for slowing down enough to show me the good lines around the park.  I am looking forward to going back there.

there are for sure some big Gators out there in those waters.

another thank you to the ridge riders for maintaining those trails.

Carter is a fun ride...those ridges really keep you on your toes.  If you ever want to meet up there again, let me know.

Paul, by you helping me find the courage to do those carter trails helped me today do 2 trails I never did before:

Moonscape (minus doom) and gatorback (didn't make 2 climbs)

It is fun being able to ride all the trails for the first time since I started riding 19 months ago.

Heck yeah, I rode Boyette with the club today, then Alafia afterwards. Tomorrow I'm taking my g/f to Santos all day and hope to see everyone there. We'll be going pretty slow and sticking to mostly easy/intermediate stuff, but we could watch you all play in the PIT!

I would wine about you not giving me any credit, but the truth is you have it in you, once you got past the fear factor(E), you saw that you could handle the bike well.

You need to give yourself credit for pushing yourself.

As far as Carter goes, maybe we can put something together for next Saturday morning?

if it rains this week - it was really sandy at parts...and if we can coax paul into going and showing the good lines to us

I live like 5 miles from Carter. We should get together out there for a ride sometime. We can go back to my house and grill up some burgers afterwords.
