My g/f and I stopped for dinner at the Outback Steakhouse in Brandon, on west Brandon BLVD not far off I75. We stopped around 10PM (maybe just a bit earlier) and left around 10:30, at which time we noticed that one of the bikes on the back of my car had been stolen.

My 2004 Cannondale F600 with Team SOBE paint scheme:

I have made some changes from stock:
WTB Speed V saddle
Shimano XT dual-control shifters with hydraulic brakes
Yellow Welgo MG1 flat pedals
WTB Weirwolf tires (with the rear mounted backwards)

Please send me a PM if you have any information regarding the whereabouts of this bike. I will post a case-number when the police call me back to take down my information.

Post it on craigslist too.
Frickin unbelievable, can't even leave the bike for less than an hour.

i'm in brandon too, i'll keep an eye out. they'd be almost stoopid to post in on craigslist, ebay, or something like that so soon.
they'd also be a complete moron to bring it to the trails
how rare are those paint schemes?

I think having "STOLEN" in the title got it automatically flagged off craigslist, so I've re-posted it with "THEFT ALERT" instead.

That paint scheme is extremely rare. Offered for one year on only the hardtail (the same year Scalpel and Jekyll can have it, also). Sunday I saw someone riding a bone-stock version of this bike at Alafia, but that is the first time I've seen another one of these in person.

It appears that someone was just walking by and saw the opportunity to ride instead of walk- my Rush was behind the Furio on the rack and it wasn't removed (half the reason I load it first is to make it harder to reach). I hear that most bike thefts are by people walking from point A to point B, who ride the bike and ditch it somewhere close to point B. I plan to print out flyers and paper the neighborhood behind Outback, and take them to all the local convenience, liquor, and grocery stores as well.

I'm offering $100 for information leading to the return of the bike, and doubling the reward for information leading to the arrest of the thief.

That Sobe paint scheme is pretty rare. I've only seen a handful in 3 years, and only 1 or 2 that were hardtails.

when i had a rack on my car, i would use my bike lock (long cable type) and lock the frame of the bike to my spoiler.

I'm sorry to hear about your bike.

I just called my LBS here in south florida because when I was there yesterday, there was one of them in there, but it wasn't yours.  It was a lefty and the owner has had it for a long time.  Slim chance they would have made it all the way down here, but I wanted to check anyways...I've had a bike stolen (had my garage open for maybe 15 minutes) and it royally sux!

Good luck!

That will be an easy bike to find. Check the Pawn Shops and print out flyers. A paint job like that should make it easy to find.

Risky,
Where you at?  Did you every find your bike?  Look what I saw up in GA... is this yours?  Look up FG racer # 145 and ask him about it.

Hillsb county  pawn shops by law have to download all transactions daily to the Sheriffs dept. and have to have pic ID to pawn anything, give the S.O. a call if you haven't already
