Daz right.... if you want some pain, have SS bike, and not afraid of sand and heat,  post back or pm me for details of the ride at Croom tomorrow.  Self SAG 60/70 mile ride.  But with the 95+ heat and the little packed sand Croom has now, we may end up with 35/50.  But will be pushing for 60/70...  Good training for our trip to Fool's Gold 100 in the GA heat later in August.

So if you not afraid of this type of ride and have a SS bike let us know if you want a piece of this.  So far there are three of us.

Again... you MUST ride your SS.  No gearies allowed!  Sorry...   ;D  :-*

Oh... is This Saturday (tomorrow) ... Bring it!

Zup Luis... Good too see you posting here ....   ;D

Karlos called me yesterday trying to twist my arm to go to the Sunday Santos EPIC past 484 rd 70 mile ride.  He almost was successful but the wife and "Sunday we must go to church" won.  Need to go confess some sin and get rid of bad deeds I done recently.  I'll be in there a while...   ;D ;D ;D   So, I am left with doing my long trining and have to get back to the house by 3pm ride so Croom it is..

But would love to join you guys for another long epic crazy ride in da future...

why SS only?  exclusion for exclusivity's sake or is there some rationale?

Da Minimalist's idea..  ;D ;D He no liky when gearies get on his way as he is ripping a climb and make him loose his momentum...  But, for you Mike, we'll make an exception.  PM me if you interested...

So far Morrison aka Minimalist, Dan aka Latte, and SandPine...  So I hope we finish with a 10mph kind of a pace after 60 or 70 miles...  As Guns Harvey puts it...  "99.9% sweet single track" kinda of ride...

I road with Mike several times....that boy is fast...i doubt any minimalists would be close enough to him on the climbs for him to get in the way...and if he does..put him in the back

they call him "Fast Mike"  he even has his own web page http://www.pynoman.com/fastmike.htm

I just want to ensure that there is no counterproductive segregation between gearies and SSers.  Can't we all just get along?!?!?!?!?

PM'ing you da details...

I am setting up a SS ride but it is only for people riding 32/16..  ;D ;D
32x16 + 29'er + 70 miles of sandy climbs will make you cry or * your spandex shorts...  But hey, if you want to setup a one-eye, one arm, shaved leggs ride.... Go for it.  I'll ask for an exception or I'll just wear my pirate patch and tie one arm since my legs are shaved already.   ;D ;D  I'll even put on my 32x22 motorcyle gear so you can see my spin my legs after you.  :-*

I just want to ensure that there is no counterproductive segregation between gearies and SSers.  Can't we all just get along?!?!?!?!?
Counterproductive ss vs gearie talk gets us nowherez...  NO such thing here.. just pointing out what we enjoy to ride and want spread the SS love if others are interested.  If you (anyone) want to join the ride, by all means bring a huffy or whatever you have to the ride.  Let me or Morrison kow and we pm'ed da details...
