welcome to the gray area my friend where everything seems right, but no one actually knows if it is.  When I get my new Surly Karate Monkey finished up I wii get a pick of it up on here for you guys to see.
Good luck and maybe sometime I will see you on the trail if I ever get back down there to ride or if I can get my brother out there to ride.
Gears??? We don't need no STINKING GEARS!!!

Nice Bike Kevin...  Let's ride sometime.  You may want to get some extra cogs now.  I am pushing a 17 just about everywhere now except Alafia where I have not graduated from a 20T yet.

I hope you Epiphamy doesn't get jelous of how much more you will be riding you GF now.    ;D ;D

Thanks.

Yeah - I'm looking into the cogs now actually.  Once I have the LBS show me the ins and outs , what it takes and all that jazz I'll be getting a 17 and a 20.

The Ellsworth has nothing to worry about.  The sheer price tag on it alone will make it my primary.

You'll eat those words my friend...

20T-22T is good for the mountains but has no use in FL (IMO, unless you absolutely have to make every climb) I find that FOR ME the 18 is the perfect compromise of spin vs. mash vs. run up hills, it works on every trail here (except Flatwoods where a 17 is better).  Again this is just my opinion, YMMV.

When are you getting the bike? I hope to see you at one of the One Gear Wednesday rides...

I expect it to be here by Friday (crosses fingers)  if not then Monday next week. Picked up a nice Fizzik Gobe saddle to go with the color scheme - brown leather and snake skin...looks sweet.  Good deal on it to $62.00.  Looking forward to the experience.

I love the Ellsworth so...
