Cool, more cush for your tush! The pedals sound like speedplay frogs.Never had any, just seen pics.Hope you enjoy it.I know I didn't want to go to a full suspension ride because I loved my cannondale hardtail too much.Bought the new bike and haven't looked back!Hope to hook up again soon for another ride.

Richie, that is them : http://www.speedplay.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.frog they are pretty cool, I have the titanium pedals. the shoes are brand new and fit perfect. I am keeping a pair of SPD pedals and cleats as a back up just in case. Looking on their website they cost $200

That frame looks gigantic...is it sasquatch size?

The Sidi's will last you a long time.  My current pair I've had since '01 and are only now getting ready to be retired.

I had a Cake for a while. Nice ride. Keep an eye on the main pivot bearing. If it develops any slop get it taken care of before it damages the frame. You'll love that thing when the trail gets rough!

I wouldn't say the same for the newer ones. I had 2 pairs from late 06-early 07 and ripped the sole off both of them. One was a warranty exchange because I bought them from the LBS and they hooked me up. A friend of mine had a pair of the sidi dragons and had the same thing happen. Too expensive of a shoe for that to happen to after 3-4 months.

Go ahead and order a spare set of pivot bearings to have on hand. Be sure the ones on the bike are torqued to spec.  Having the spare set handy means you won't have to wait when the time comes.  Otherwise enjoy a sweet ride.

Yeah, I was not going to let the new Panaracers go with the old bike, I just got them! BTW, it is a bigger frame (21"), but it will work for me. I think I got the shock and fork dialed in, so we will see tommorow. I plan on hitting hearkbreak ridge :D. I will be at the hole for the 6pm ride..

PS, I just sold my old Rockhopper on Craig's list for $300.

Nice bike Darrin.   probably a huge difference.  How fast did it take to sell your bike?  Im gonna put my Trance up for sale. ....just trying to figure out the best place to sell it.  its only a couple of months old so I should be able to sell it quick.  im sure its worth atleast 250 or 300.  Any ideas?

Jim, whats up? are you not riding anymore or are you buying a new bike? Craig's list is free and I usually sell stuff pretty quick on there. you may get more for it on ebay, but then you may have the pain in shipping it. you could always do both and cancel the ebay listing if it sells on craig's list. $250 $300? you should get more then that!

Yeah I have to get another bike.  Ill probably try craigs list.  I continue to have suspension problems with it and im tired of running it back and forth to the shop.  I figure if I sell it will be cheap as I have had problems with it from day one, and dont want to rip anybody off.
I just spent money on it again trying to get it fixed at another shop, and the creaking was back in about 5 min of riding.   Needless to say im sinking money in a bike that is a few months old, and cant ride as its always in the shop.
