New bike perhaps......
« on: June 16, 2008, 09:11:50 AM »
So I was thinking of selling the old trance frame and getting into something a bit faster for the upcoming race season.  I have been looking at some soft tails but nothing has been jumping out at me until I saw this:

It's just beautiful, it would go great with my red wheels to :c)

Any comments or does any one know about these frames??

Looks like a mish-mash of catalog bike pieces put together by some mega bike factory in Taiwan.  It might ride well and be pretty light, but I doubt you'll be able to readily get replacement parts if something goes wrong with the frame.  The leaf spring idea looks pretty cool though.

Depending on the material the chainstays are made of, I would be concerned about lateral flex.  Obviously test riding it would be difficult.

I belive the frame is Carbon and scandium,  I think the chain stays are as well,  I will have to look up the rest of the specs.  This bike is Italian made and I belive the frame is only 3 lbs.  I've heard good things about customer service and their products from various reviews.  I like the idea of the chainstays because from what I understand on most soft tails this is where they would break.  I will continue to look more maybe a moots YBB?  But this frame is about half the price, at 1400.

Its not made in Italy...this bike like many, many others (especially those with carbon fiber) are manufactured by big factories over in Taiwan.  This is really not a bad thing necessary as the quality of the work coming out of those factories is pretty good.  Here's where the warranty information sends you:
