A sad day
« on: June 16, 2008, 12:04:01 PM »
On Sunday afternoon, I got a call from a good friend that lives up in North Carolina and he was upset.  His beloved Heckler died on him that day.  He's had the bike for many years - used and abused throughout Florida, the Carolinas, a trip to Snowshoe, 2 trips to Mammoth, etc - and it died when he did a wheelie over a small log on a local trail.

Enough of the sappy stuff...here are a couple of carnage shots:

He's in the process of seeing what Santa Cruz can do for him as far as a replacement as they switched over to a new Heckler about a year ago.
Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

Update - my friend ended up getting a new Heckler from a local shop at a great price as he still hasn't gotten any resolution from Santa Cruz.  They may or may not have a new front triangle for him but they haven't been very punctual in getting back to him.
