Very nice!  I've been wanting to go there for several years now and I'm currently keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to make it there either next year or the year after.

If I ever learn to ride, I want to go to some of those fun places.  They look like a blast.

One day I will make it to Whistler.  Have a good ride up there.  Take some good pics. :)

How long are you going to be there?  What bike will you be riding?  How many times will you hit A-Line?

one day I'm going to be riding everything I can, I'll be there at opening and they will have to forcibly remove me from the mountain. We've also got some north shore riding on the agenda and maybe (maybe) hit up Galbraith Mountain in WA.

I don't know how much bike park riding you have done, but it can really take a toll on you throughout the day.  The fast hard hits take a toll on your hands, wrists, and shoulders and your legs get a work out from lots of standing.  Take a little ibruprofen at the beginning of the day to ward off some pains.

Thanks for the heads up, I was planning on taking a whole lot of gels, but the ibuprofen is probably a good thing to bring along. I solely ride HT so I'm thinking that I'll hold up ok. I've been eating up as much whistler videos as I can find.

The real difference is that you'll be hitting things so much faster and more often than you are used to (or you'll end up cooking your brakes from the constant dragging) and those faster, more rapid hits really get to you over the course of a day.

From some friends that have gone there, they say go all the way to the top and do Original Sin and Freight Train for more natural terrain and do the lower mountain trails, particularly A-Line and Dirt Merchant for the more buff, man-made stuff.
