Yes. Unofficial club ride at 9am. But we like pain and hellish suffering. Come getsum if you like. We'll try to join picnic by 1pm if we survive. We head out at the crack of early light when the Brooksville ruster sings. So far five peeps are in on this.

6 am parking lot # 3 we're putting water on the south side of croom road where the west blue trail intersects the road for a sag stop.

Alright - can someone drop off some water for poor little me, or are we doing that prior to departure once we arrive?  I ask because I am not 100% familiar with the lay out of Croom. 2nd question - this aint gonna be at a breakneck speed if the goal is 50-70 miles right?

If those 2 issues aren't an issue I'll be there at dawns early light - though it's still a bit dark @ 6 AM

Kevin, Leave Epiphamy at home and pamper it a little bit.  This ride would be better suited for you shinny new Gary Fisher 29er.  Epiphany will just have to take a back seat tomorrow.  You will be fine on this ride.  You can do as 35, 50, or the plan 60'ish.  We are folloing the Croom 50 route so we'll point you to how you can bail.  I'll even bring you a little map.  I am meeting Forrest at 6am on parking lot one so I can show him where he can stash his water.  I will have extra water stashed away so you are welcome to it.  But if you want to bring your own cooler with goodies and hide it in the wodds, meet us at parking lot 1 at 6am and follow me.  Once we loaded our sag stop, we will drive over to parking lot 3 to start the ride at about 6:30am or earlier as long as we can see the trail.

As for the speed.  I hope to keep a 10-12 to survive at least 50.  So far is Bob Wilcox, Dave Hawkings, Forrest, me, and you.  That have confirmed.  Those guys will probably go out at 12-14 like we did last time we tried this.  I will cut back a bit tomorrow to have a better chance at finishing.  Hopefully we'll be done by 1pm and we can join the swamp picnic.  So bring your food for the picnic.  See you then.

Anyone else want to join?  The more the marrier...  Croom trails are as closed to pavement as you will ever see them!  The heat, well that is another story...

I am officially in. I'll see what I dig up for my cooler and meet you freaks at lot #1 @ approx. 6 AM.  Means a 5 AMis departure.  SS is set 34/18 - could probably get away with 34/17...but its set.  Poor Epiphany hasn't seen much use lately.

Yeah.  Did Santos for 30 at that set up and wasn't hurting.  Did WTA today for 25 with that set up and could have kept going.

Huh? I thought you had 32x18 on.  I did 32x17 and should've used 32x18.  Did you fix your bb?  Report and pics of Dave doing the superman off the log into the 15 foot drop are up on my blog.  Sure hope it was only a little gash and no big black eye for him.
