Greggs birthday dominated yesterday's topic.
My bike is more than a toy; it's my vessel.

Damn Gregg!! You sure did rack up some smites!!  I'm thinking about maybe doing a Croom ride within the next few weeks.  The trails should be in great shape with all this rain.
It's not just fun, it's an addiction!

in 2 weeks I am going to try and ride again - Croom is tame enough to be a good place to test the ole ribs

I've been doing a lot of road riding on the MTB too.  Takes less time and gas to get to where I can do that.

yes - i can get on my bike at 7am ride from my house - ride 3 hours and be at home at 10am - not spend money on gas and have the whole day to do stuff with my family.

when i get better (ribs) i am not doing the 2 mtb rides a weekend anymore - i am splitting it up 50/50

i will ride more hours and have more family time and more money in my pocket from not spending it on gas

I hear you FactorE - I could probably get away with doing 2 rides a weekend, but I'd end up spending a ton on gas and not a lot of time with my family.  This weekend I'm going to start 3 year old daughter on her training-wheeled bike which should be fun.
