Crashed into SWAMP sign
« on: August 09, 2008, 12:37:56 AM »
I just got to the top of the big hill on Croom blue just north of Croom rd and saw a sign for a bailout.  It was almost 7:30 so I thought it might be a good idea to take the bailout and head for the car.  Made a sharp right for the bailout trail and fell right over onto the SWAMP "needs your help maintaining trails" sign.  I messed it up pretty good but was able to bend it back into shape.  I'm not sure if it was the sign or something on the ground, but I ended up with a bleeding puncture on my arm.

Obviously the crash was a sign that I should take the red connector back to parking area 1 instead of Croom Rd., which I did.  I have a feeling this hasn't happened to anyone before.

Attached is a pic of the sign wedged between the bottom of my seat and my rear tire.

The SWAMP Ninjas' don't take kindly to people messing with their stuff.  That puncture wound is a stealthy attack warning...next time you may not be so lucky.

Those signs can be sneaky.  They tend to run out in front of you at the most inopportune times.  :D
