Pretty sweet course. Bring your climbing legs. Pretty fast course if you can handle the climbs and still have any juice left. (Speaking about myself, not pro's who can can climb and ride all day.)

Instead of bringing your climbing legs, I'd rather bring someone elses lungs - the air quality over there is supposed to be terrible.

The mountain biking will take place next week - 8/22 for women's XC and 8/23 for the men's event.  I'd suggest checking out the BMX event that will taking place on 8/20 and 8/21...it will be vastly more interesting to watch than XC and we have a good shot at least gold if not possibly a sweep in the men's event.  On the women's side, I'll be foregoing my patriotism and actually rooting for France's Anne Caroline Chausson - she's one of my all time favorite DH mtb'ers who used to just dominate and I'm curious to see if she still has it to medal in the Olympics.

Looking at pic #16, the energy burned to get thru those switchbacks with the short steep climbs at every switchback, you would have to be an olympian or something to do it!
