Leave trail head at 8am...so that means leave (south) tampa at 5:30am?  That's a little too early for me.  I was contemplating a Santos epic+ for either sat/sun after another Croom ride Friday afternoon (any takers?).

Perhaps you can convince me otherwise morrisson.

if we leave trail head at 8am and ride 4 hours that gets us done at noon - what would we be doing between noon and 2:30?

Did I mentioned at least 4 hours ride (ride=saddle) which does not include break to catch breath, eat, and checking map. I am bringing 2 bikes and different cogs to swap to decide what to use.

perfect - is there a special tool to change them out?

I have a feeling that 32x18 might be a little ambitious for my first try at SS at San Fel...haha
