Yes it WAS. But I think he is talking about 2009. And Registration will open to SBA Members (look for your brochure in the mail) in the next few weeks. Registration for the non SBA Members will start in November.

Last year's croom 50 was a real breakthrough ride for me.  I showed up that day never having done over 30 miles, and finished the 50 with energy to spare.  Then I ate absurd amounts of pulled pork and cupcakes.

Can't wait for the 09 edition!

Then you are ready for Morrison's Challenge.  Oh, you forgot the mistery meat meatballs at the last sag.   :o

What is Morrison's Challenge you might ask?  Mr. Base Miles ( ;D) came up with the idea last year of making Croom 50 an 85 mile ride.  The idea is to start real early before SAGs are setup and go do the 35 mile course on our own.  Then return to parking lot to do the 50 and hopefully, there will still be SAG's.

So Morrison....  Are you still up for your own challenge? If you want, we can just call it Croom 100.  As in 100K.  Meaning, we do the yellow loop before anyone else, then we sail for the 50 to come up with about 62 miles.  Given us the Croom 100.  You is in?  Anyone?
