11-06-08 Ride Report
« on: November 07, 2008, 08:44:38 AM »
Riding at Boyette late yesterday afternoon was a thing of absolute beauty! Sugar sand areas seem to be holding up (still hard-packed fairly well), and all technical trails are rolling FAST! There's still that narrow trench at the bottom of the 2nd drop in North Abyss; I chose to roll the rooty left-hand option; didn't quite clear the root pile, but... almost.

Pandemonium is good except for the drop (on the bottom line)  just before the really tuff climb near the end. That peak has a dip before and after the root on top; lower bottom brackets tend to get hung-up there.

If you haven't ridden Boyette just before sunset in a while, then do; I highly reccommend it.

I was there in the AM yesterday and it was nice. That little trench was ok. It just kind of directs you through there. It looked worse than it was.
My bike is more than a toy; it's my vessel.

Boyette is in great shape! Thanks to the volunteers who have worked hard the last few months to get it there.  I can't wait to get out there on Sun.

Good ridin' out there. Looks like someone been spreadin' the magic fairy trail dust around.  ;D   Ripped it up with the Chisel and Sweetness. Had the pleasure of watching Sweetness plow the forest floor with his face as he slipped on a corner while doing the quadrants.   :o

Did not slow him down. Shook it off and was right back at it. Good to ride in the back and enjoy the show. He looked just like Garrys avatar of that polar bear with his ass in the air and his face in the ground.  Funny!!
