Frank Trulock AKA Rideriderpro
« on: December 08, 2008, 10:24:16 AM »
Many of you know Frank, he sometimes posts here under the name of Redriderpro. Unfortunately he had a mishap with a wayward tree yesterday and broke his right femur.

I just came from UCH. Frank is resting reasonably comfortably.

The surgeons installed a titanium rod in the center of his right femur, more or less the whole length of the bone (this sounds very familiar).  He is planning on cutting a particular tree down as soon as he can walk!

He wanted me to be sure to thank everyone that was there assisting him yesterday, he is extremely grateful.

Also on a side note…..He says he has a Croom ticket for sale. If you are interested let me know, I will get you his number.

It was in a freaky wide open very flat section of trail.  The one that cuts over from Grampa to the Piglets.  instead of going down the sandpit on the little ditch, you go on the south side of it along side the palmettos.  A branch (somewhat small one at that) caught his bike and lunched him to the right where his bike went sideways on a small root then he lost control and landed hip first.  As always, it is the safest trails that get us.  Be careful out there.

More importantly, is it 29'r compatible and does it have a proper trail?

I can speak to that.... All things being equal, my left leg weighs about 9 ounces more than my right. So the answer is no weight reduction.
