Superfly sneak peak
« on: January 13, 2009, 08:23:16 PM »
You may remember my post about my frame cracking a couple months ago, but most of you don't know about the replacement frame. It cracked within a week of receiving it. Fisher/Trek decided that I had been through enough and they didn't want to keep replacing my frame every couple weeks. So, they sent me a Superfly! The Superfly is their carbon 29er hardtail. I just picked it up tonight and here is a sneak peak. I'll post more detailed photos when I get some more time.

Nice. Congrats on that Tread 29.  Also way to go Gary Fisher for taking care of a problem and making it right.

Very nice.  I'm supposed to get my Sugar frame replaced at the end of this week.  They were going to upgrade me to the Hi Fi, but I would have to do the fork, brakes and wheels on my own.  Since my fork is blown out too all I have to do is replace the fork which is on it's way too.

I hope my rig cracks so I can get a new frame

I talked to the GF/Trek guys at San Felasco and they said they had a whole batch of paragons that were bad and they were replacing them with the carbon frames...the bad news is they weren't having that problem with the rigs..lol

Extend the post out as far as you can comfortably sit on it and start dirt jumping...your seat tube should crack in no time.

If you didn't have a sasquatch sized frame...maybe give it SFG and have him practice his drop techniques at Santos.

It's safe to say you'll break before that bike does... ;)
