strange bike siting
« on: January 26, 2009, 12:44:32 PM »
I saw a strange mtb at Boyette yesterday. Saw it on golf cart around 1:00. This thing had the biggest tires i've ever seen on a mtb, they had to 3 to 4 inches accross. I didn't have the opportunity to talk to guy. has anybody seen this bike or know anything about tires that size?
I became insane with long intervals of horrible sanity.

Alafia was closed till 1 or 2 for a race. So closest alternate is Boyette.

I'm all for people riding whatever they want, but what exactly is the purpose of a Pugsley in Florida?  Climbing sand dunes at the beach?  I thought they were designed for snow riding.

I saw a big orange Intense Uzzi the other week and was thinking the same thing!

Ok, ok I really was just thinking that I'd love to have one of my own. Of course I wouldn't actually ride it. Just put it in the back of the truck and drive around the trail head like a freeride poseur.

Its a good 10lbs lighter than that Kona that was out there and a suprisingly good pedaler :)
