Hope Mini X2
« on: February 07, 2009, 12:32:42 PM »
Need some opinions from the folks out there regarding the Hope Mini X2 Disc brakes w/ the 160mm rotors

wife wants a set cause they look all purty...  Do they work well and if we go to true mountains will provide enough stopping power for the downhills in places like ashville (greenslick, ect...)???

Dont be shy...let me know any experiences good/bad/both...

thanks.

They should provide plenty of stopping power, but if you are heading to the mountains, I'd highly recommend getting a set of EBC red compound brake pads for the Hope's.  The red compound is a DH/extreme riding specific pad that trades off longevity for increased stopping power.
