Dang, what ever happened to the NO DROP POLICY? Bill did you have a map?

No problems...I did print out a map and made it back without issues.  We were staying together and things just got mixed up around Ridgeline.

We saw that lady working on her bike but we took a left and headed out to "Gary's Loop" and then "Woods Trail". You probably thought we'd be right behind you on Ridgeline when you took that left option but we waited a while for FACTORells.

I was dropped because I brought a knife to a gun fight. SS just isn't the weapon of choice for that long sandy 2 mile stretch back to the parking lot. I really wish there was a air conditioned monorail to the trailhead. :'(

It was a good time...I just need to get my Blur fixed as the Intense is just too heavy for all the pedaling.

Any feed back on the Canyon Trail?  Packing in good?  Hard switchback-drop off good or bad? Flow issues? (supposed to be a harder intermediate blue trail)

Other than that switchback turn (which was tight and soft), the rest of Canyon seemed pretty nice with good flow and was packed in pretty good Sunday pm.

While it is packed well it is also very rough in sections. It beats me up pretty good on my hardtail and doesn't allow for sustained speed in some sections that should be pretty fast. Haven't ridden it on my FS bike so can't give a thorough eval. You think it will flatten out over time just by riding it?

On a positive note, the switchback is a fun little challenge especially if you ride a big wheel. With the exception of said switchback I'd call the trail intermediate not harder intermediate. We've been skipping it because it's so rough but now that I think about it that's no way to get the trail flattened out in a timely manner. I'll start hitting it every time I'm at Boyette.

I wonder how fast you are when your not recovering from broken ribs. They say you should ride with people who are better so count me in for the next one.

I agree that the switchback is a little diffucult. But the rest was nice.

the last left hand switchback into a downhill drop sent me to the hospital...so I opted to walk that section - all the new trails are very very good - my oh shiz factor is too high right now -I still have 4 broken bones and I am supposed to be "taking it easy" per my Dr
