I am doing HH100 too.  So if I recover for the following weekend and if I can find carpooling options, I am going to the 12 Hrs of Tsali instead.  Is the same weekend as the BURN.

BTW,the BURN is no longer being promoted by Eddie.  It still a great race I am sure.  I just noticed it was also moved to NC.  I thought it was in north GA.

I do want to do a 24 hrs race but no further then GA.

WHY NOT?

IN my case, because I can.  LOL...  Seriously.  I am not in a wheelchair like my brother and I am able to eat food and speak unlike one of my other brothers battling cancer.  So why not... life is short.  24 hrs race in the horizon soon for me. I hope.

FE and SP DO IT!  Seriously, the trails at Dark Mountain are incredibly fun (with a little pain mixed in).  It's like a big pump track in the woods, smooth as butter, reasonable climbs and a super fun descent to the pit area...

I thought pump tracks were evil and that people didn't approve of their existance  ;)

SandPine, when I was going to do the 12 hours of Tsali and the HH100 came out, I was only going to do the 50 because I wanted to have a good race at Tsali. Speaking from experience, doing a 12 solo 1 week after a 100-mile singletrack race (8-9 hours?) would be a recipe for disaster. 50 miles, however, would be a perfect tune-up. Gotta pick your battles and 6 days isn't enough time to re-fill the tank.
