i am not a big fan of doing sketchy drops on an xc rig. give me a 9 inch travel DH bike and bring it. Wrong tool for the job. the bike are just not slack enough. .02 8)

There will be no rules against using different bikes for different sections.  As I won't be competing (though I may participate unofficially), I'll bring my Intense and you can feel free to borrow it.

Im just hoping the contest will be about section of trails that we are permitted to ride and go with the flow of the trail.  Not some ridiculous off trail feature.

It will all be regular portions of the trail, ridden in the way they were meant to be ridden and will focus more on making climbs than tricky descents.  Some sections that will be in the mix for the competition are:

1.  The climb up Mt. Killanewbie on Moonscape
2.  The tricky little rock section on Moonscape before the big downhill that is before you hit Doom
3.  The entrance to Doom
4.  The climb up No Dab Ridge
5.  The rooty climb on Frank's loop prior to the downhill/switchback turn
6.  The downhill switchback on Frank's
7.  The climb on Shelly's
8.  The switchback and climb on the boardwalk on Gatorback
9.  The Gatorback paver climb
10.  The last long climb on Gatorback (to the tiki bar)
11.  The paver climb on Bridges (maybe on this one)

I'll start a new post later this week with all of the information and I hope to have this competition in the next couple of weeks.

Keep this list since i've been practicing for 2 weeks now ;)
