I love how well you guys know the trails.  YOu guys describe sections and I dont even know what they are.  But ya, good stuff!  I was kidding, about the footy, but you never  know, seems like helmet cams are gaining popularity and affordability, wont be long before there is an iphone app for helmet cam footy..LMAO

The Doom entrance is, I believe, made easier or more difficult  by the tires one has on their bike.  My, speed friendly tires  are not as good to bite into that off camber climb on the face of the rock, making it more important that you hit it just right. I'll get it, with time and a little bit more practice. I've only tried it  7- 10 times so far.  Not that I'm making excuses .... ;D    ;D

Thought you were talking about the right line. Not impressed any more since I can make the left line, blindfolded, with my SS, on a bad day, and most importantly, with no witnesses or video.  ;)

Just kidding of course, that left line makes me feel pretty good when I happen to make it. Typically my rear tire just lets loose though. I've been attempting it in granny up front and center of cassette in the rear.

On the left...nice.  Didn't one of you guys make it up the right line the other day?

Tried it foolishly. Had no business even trying. The trail rejected my feeble attempt at greatness.

I saw some fresh cuts from a chainring in those roots on the right side the other day.  I know someone's been attempting it.

the doom climb is all about the line. If you hit it right you aren't doing it off-camber. I'm not gonna give away anymore of my tricks though, I already showed Catman how I do it. ;)

I tried the right line up to no dab ridge for 20 min or so and ended up getting my rear wheel up on top 2-3 times but couldn't pedal away to save my life.

The climb into doom still hangs me up regularly even though I know exactly where to hit it. Probably gonna swap tires front to rear and see if that helps. Saw BillT make it look easy with one of those new fangled, close knoby slick looking tires???

I think he runs a Kenda SmallBlock 8 on the rear.
