Formula hub conversion, help please
« on: June 01, 2009, 02:13:28 PM »
I have a set of WTB rims laced to formula disk hubs. The from is 20 mm through axle, and my Fiance wants them for her bike. I can find no info on conversion for a formula hub. Does anyone know if this can be done, or perhaps how to remove them so I can try a conversion kit. I can't seem to get them off and there are no lock-rings or other similar devices holding them that I can see.

Not all 20mm hubs are convertible to 9mm quick release.  Typically, the ones thare convertible have end-caps that come off easily.

I suspected as much but wasn't sure. Are these hubs non servicealble? If these caps don't come off I can't imagine how you could rebuild them. I know there are cheap hubs out there but are these "disposable"?
