So if they are the former owners of three bike shops what makes them think this one will work out? Or were they in the business of starting business and then selling out for a profit? They sure have  prime location. Will certainly be nice if you need to pick up a tube or something on the way out to the trails. What brands will they be a dealer for? Do they have a web site yet?

they are a trek and gary fisher dealer.  I stopped in to bs on Friday and they seemed very nice and had a couple high end mt bikes already built up.  their inventory was half packed still so I didn't see everything but it is in a perfect spot for me.  hopefully they do well there.

They sold the 3 other stores to spend more time with their family, but have since missed the business and decided to open another store. they were very successful and sold the stores to the people they had as managers. You should go by there and ask them any other questions you have since they will have great deals and free food on Thursday....

Huh, So they changed the name to Carrolwood bike from Aj Barnes. Wonder how Aj's bikes came to be then?

Aj's was Aj Barnes when it was in Bloomingdale Square. They dropped the Barnes when they moved down the street. I'm at the Ace in Bloomingdale Square, so I was bummed when they left.

Went by there this afternoon and got a jersey, some shorts, and some other little things for practically nothing after the 20% discount and $20.00 coupon.  The owners were super nice people.  It wil definetely be nice to have a shop on the way to Boyette for those last minute needs.

I didnt go into it too much with them but while we were talking they mentioned when they opened their first bike shop it was an AJ Barnes franchise, just as AJ's Bikes and Boards was.  They apparently both went independent.
