Officially a dumbazz
« on: June 16, 2009, 07:12:13 PM »
I went riding last thursday w/ gregg, chris and 5 other guys and had a flat quite aways in the woods, so gregg saved the day and gave me a tube. I picked up 2 tubes 1 for gregg and a spare. I  showed up to go riding with the c-group tonight at Hole in the Fence met up with gregg gave him the tube i owed him and didnt realize i forgot the other one at home. Well about a 1/2 mile into the trip i had another flat in the rear tire again. I walk the bike back out of the woods and both my passenger side tires are flat. I'm I the only one this kind of bad luck happens to.

Tubeless.

Don't know what you're going to do about your vehicle tires though.  ;)

No. I locked my keys in the truck at Boyette once. Had to break the window. And don't feel bad. The first time i met Gregg he forgot his camelbak so I carried his water bottles for him in mine.

Go with the Stans!  It will save you money in the long run as well as decrease the chance for a flat significantly.  ;D

If you don't want to deal with the tubeless deal ask the local bike shop for thorn resistant tubes. They are heavy but if you're a newbie you won't really notice anyway. I bought a Specialized one lately and looks bullet proof.

I've heard that some people use tubes that has that stuff pre-loaded in them. Stans is an option but I watched the video and it just looked rinky dink to me. Upgrading to tubeless rims and tires will cost you a ton. Not a good idea to drop a ton of cash if you are still new to the sport.
