my polar computer records GPX data - how do I see that data in google maps?

I am not sure you will be able to go directly to google maps.  But you can load that *.gpx file to motionbased.com and from there display on google maps or earth.  I think training peaks does this as well.

if you signup for Singletracks.com you can upload gpx, tcx, and kml files and it will load maps and and other data...
