I have no problem calling that two mile ride back a "hard option".

I'm going to wait and time myself on the 2 track until they install Catman's monorail.  That way, my times will always be consistent.  ;)

I'd like to go.
I might go.
I could go.
This couch is awful nice and soft thou.
I ought to go.
But, it sure is easier to just think about going.
And if I stay home I won't be contributing to the global warming and ... the decline in the polar bear population ..  and the green house effect..

No.  I think I'll just stay home and exhale Co2...
but I will turn off my flouresent bulb so i can leave the computer on longer

Have to start from when the rear wheel rolls through the creek crossing just below Palmetto, down the two track, through SST and through the gate. That's more measurable.  Oh yeah, and whistle or yell as you approach the turns in SST to alert oncoming traffic. :-)

Do it during the night ride, should be no incoming traffic.  FE and Garry has a lot of experience doing the hammerfest coming out on the 2-track at night..
What was I THINKING !!!!!!

Wait can I do this on the cross bike? I was pulling 22+ pretty consistent down the two-track on the cross bike though some of the sandy areas slowed me down more than they would with fat tires. The two miles just blew by on that bike. I'd even go so far as saying that it was fun. Only time I got slowed down a lot was passing a big group of people that were spread all over the trail. They looked at me like I was crazy (I probably am just a little bit) but I think I got some respect back after I left behind the two guys that tried to sprint after me.
