Trail Conditions
« on: July 10, 2009, 11:05:06 AM »
Hello All,

I have been out of the country for the past couple of weeks and would like to hit the trails this weekend at either Alafia or Boyette.  With all of the rain lately are does anyone know if these trails are rideable?

Alafia was great yesterday AM, but then it rained ALL day, so I am really no help to you :(
It's all fun and games 'til someone loses an eye.  Then it's just a game: FIND THE EYE!!!

As of Friday evening North Creek has some mud puddles in some of the turns, people have rutted it up a bit.
Gatorback was rideable. It was not wet so we didn't contribute rutting but it has been somewhat abused when wet, it's rough.

today...
North Creek is dry now. Very rideable, lots of dirt washed out though, of course it's always rooty somewhat, just seems more rootier, you know what I mean.  :)

Gatorback is also very rideable.  It's very rutted and traction doesn't come easy of some of the climbs.  I didn't clean it today, not even close.

Rollercoaster had a couple of mud puddles on the access trail, otherwise it's fine to ride.  Glad to see the 1st hard option's easy option barricaded.

If there's no rain today everything should be dried up except a couple of the usual spots on Moonscape.
