On Squiggy, Mike had a hurt ankle so I started. Mind you, it was a virgin ride on a Superfly 29er hardtail that I had picked up the day before and never rode until the Squiggy (this bike was sold soon thereafter because I woke up and realized hardtails were not for me). Yes, Squiggy is a documented time - hold me to it if you will.

The Stans Crow and Raven are really great tires. The web site made me a believer in using Stans liquid after years and years of dis-believing. I started with the Kosmics after Art recommended them. He himself was using them. They are beautiful tires with lots of life in them. Kenny is now riding them and agrees. I would have gone with them for my 29er, but, they are not in that size. So, the lightest weight tire I felt was of interest was the Stans Crow in the rear and the Raven in the front. I watched Bob and Dave (Croom dudes) and their fellow Croomies tear up the Pinhoti trail in Georgia and the trails here in Florida, Both in 29er and in 26 er sizes. They are fast riders (much faster than myself) and they use the tires to their full advantage.

by the way - it is spelled Kool-aide    ;D

mmmm * talking....

I love my Kozmiks, but they suck in the sand. They are light as hell and look dopejuice. Surely there is a better tire but I don't have the c*h some of you crazies have to wear a bunch of different rubbers.

Ok Dave, I did some figuring......

on your team

Person A (i think was you)  had an average lap time of 53.34 minutes......best lap time of 50.13
person B ( i think was mike) had an average lap time of 47.37 minutes....... best lap time of 45.19
you guys did 3 laps each.

I had and average lap time of 45.09   with a best lap time of 43.41  also 3 laps.

Scott had an average lap time of 44.08 with a best time of 42.55  ah....but here is the kicker....he did 4 laps....with his highest lap time of 46.27

Proof is in the pudding.......I wasn't slamming you just speaking the truth....like everyone some days I am stronger than others, in a race situation I am different that a sunday or tuesday night ride.

Most days that I ride Flatwoods my average speed comes in between 12.5 for a more relaxed day and 13.2-3 for a more energetic ride.

My personal best in a lap around the main loop (including misery) 14 miles was right at 54 minutes at 14.7 mph.......

Oh....I ride with Stans and Kosmik lites.

ok, so you admit that they are faster. You had a good ride sunday....I never said you were slow......

I simply said that you are not as fast as Scott. I have ridden with you both.....no shame in that.

Humberto has gotten seriously fast from just being pretty fast......but he doesn't go full bore all of the time......

As for me, I have my good days and my less good days, but I AM fast.....not nessecarily the fastest.....but I don't really care..... I may have to do next months Trout Creek ride to show you something........ ;D

oh,,,,,I hardly think that riding a 21-22 pound bike was a handicap....I wouldn't use that as an excuse..

I ride with Mike all of the time.....
